Riding the Waves
Some gods are very useful in times of war...
Designer Nightwolf has just released another custom adventure for Poseidon. The adventure is called "Riding the Waves", and is rated as "very challenging".
Nightwolf describes it with these words: "The gods have denied you the ability to raise an army - can you still conquer the world?" If that doesn't peak your interest, check out these teaser screenshots from its gameplay.
"Riding the Waves" contains 6 episodes, and is available for download here.
It's a Feeding Frenzy!
"And Zeus decreed: Wolves and men alike will partake of this feeding frenzy."
With his latest release "Feeding Frenzy" now available for download here, designer Nightwolf continues to prove he is one of the most prolific creators of custom adventures for Zeus and Poseidon. Can you handle the task of supplying food to the expanding Greek empire? Check out these teaser screenshots for an idea of what might be in store for you. "Feeding Frenzy" is rated as "easy" difficulty, so players new to the game are encouraged to try it.

A Vaguely Familiar Halloween Treat
Does this look vaguely familiar? Warning: prolonged scrutiny may subliminally influence you to carve up a pumpkin for Halloween!
Rumor has it that some aspects of this new adventure have a Halloween theme, so check out these tricks and treats from the playtesting.
"Vaguely Familiar" is rated at "Titan" difficulty, so it should provide a nice challenge for advanced players. It is the first installment in the "Common Threads" adventure series, in which a player's patron Gods are linked together by something they have in common. It sounds like GLWizard has much more planned for us in the future!
Can You Launch a New Industrial Age?
Be prepared for conflicts among the Gods, as some will oppose the new Industrial Age.
In Nightwolf's own words: "You've got all of the building necessities at hand - Marble, Black Marble, Orichalc, Copper Ore and Wood. But if you look further, you'll see that you have nothing else... including food. Can you turn this into a ragingly rich city?"
"Industrial Age" contains 5 episodes, and is rated as a moderate difficulty challenge. It is now available for download here.
Expanded Oracle of Random Oddities
The Oracle on the Zeus Heaven homepage is no different from other ancient oracles - it spews out random oddities in an unpredictable fashion. Yet many players have honed their gaming skills by studying and applying these random oddities. Rumor has it that the Oracle may now reveal many new and interesting oddities. The Zeus game (and its expansion, Poseidon) continues to attract a strong fan base, and expanding the knowledge of the Oracle is a reward for their loyalty.
Who has bestowed this new knowledge to the Oracle? Some say the Gods themselves are responsible, but others say Nightwolf and Pecunia should be thanked.
So how many Random Oddities may now be revealed? Test your knowledge of the Oracle by participating in the trivia contest at this forum thread.

Children of the Nile Competition
Just a reminder about the current contest.
It took eighteen years to build...
...so Tilted Mill and Sega offer eighteen Children of the Nile t-shirts up for grabs, nine of these will be available for contestants from the US and Canada who have been playing for a while now, and another nine for those who just got the game.
The rules are simple.
We want you to play Men-nefer and see how quickly you can build that Great Pyramid. Time is the only thing that counts, so time is all you need to concentrate upon. You have one month, i.e. till March 4th, to give this your best shot.
The difficulty you can chose freely, but we won't differentiate between hard or normal, so you probably want to pick the latter.
We will open up an additional section in the Downloads where you can upload your best attempt. Here you will be able to chose which region you are competing in (US/Canada or The World). Make sure you pick the right region because picking the wrong one will get you disqualified.
We'll keep this section hidden so you won't have to worry about other people seeing what you did, just like we do in other contests.
Who is eligeable?
Well, basically everybody is eligeable to compete. However, we feel that people from the rest of the world who already got the US version of the game (and thus have been playing longer) should participate in the US/Canada group.
Not much more than wishing you happy building!
If you have any question, you can post them here.
In her relentless quest to upgrade all the downloads systems in Heaven to the 0.6 version, Angel Pecunia has now finished upgrading the Zeus download section.
We hope you enjoy it.
October Screenshot Competition
A reminder that you have 2 more days to get your entries to me. So far we've had one entry - I'm sure more than one person has had a disaster that's worth a screenshot ...
More information can be found here.
October Screenshot Competition
The October competition is being widened to include all the citybuilding games in the hopes of attracting more entries. The best entries will be added to our gallery.
So, what's the competition? It's for a screenshot, taken in normal gameplay, for the heading 'Worst Disaster'. Earthquake, fire, flood ... any shot that you think comes under that description can be entered. I realise that not all the games have the same disasters, but each has something that can come under that heading.
1. Your screenshot must be an image generated only by the core game (which does include the 'cheats').
2. Your screenshot must be saved in jpg, jpeg, or gif format.
3. Your screenshot must not be retouched using image-editing software.
4. Your screenshot must not contain content in violation of HeavenGames rules and guidelines.
5. Screenshots must be received by 31st October.
1. You may enter a maximum of one screenshot for each of the CB games.
2. Submit your screenshot by attaching it to an email sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
