An other place, an other project for an other god.
You can not forget that dream you made last night. Poseidon, the god of the oceans, came to talk to you. Indeed, the old continent is home to its land, the largest and beautiful built city that the world knows. The brother of Zeus can not let Apollo and Artemis alone hold so much prestige.
You have to build a big city for Poseidon in an atlantean city. Gods and sanctuaries will be very important one more time.
Final objective (with other difficulties) : 40000 citizens
I let you in the zip folder, the modifications of game data for different fun (like more blessing by gods, but less taxes or more workers... i let you discover) (!) It works only in olympian difficulty (!)
The text of the scenario is a translation of my french text, so i am so sorry for the mistakes and the weird sentences. My english is not the best ^^'
If you are in trouble, don't be shy and ask me, i will post my city in several days.
Have fun :) |

Really you are on the last episode ! Congrats it is great. But you are in difficulty ? What kind of problem do you have ? Do you need some help to finish the scenario ? |

The enemy are constantly attacking, I'm not used to managing such a huge economy. I could do with a lower number of people but I need to reach the population requirement and the city is constantly degrading. furthermore people keep fleeing from my city because the enemy is constantly attacking and my allies are asking for goods too frequently |

Yes i think i understand.
I tried to improve the difficulty, demands, invasions... during the episodes for let the time to the player to have a strong army and have a solid economy specialy in food, orichalc, marble... because the gods are here to help the player to prepare the last episode.
There are several reasons if ennemies constantly attacking (except the invasions i schulded of course (every 3 years)).
Indeed you have to develop a huge economy, but not just for your people needs, but for answer the demands of the other cities too. Then the objective is that your ennemies will not be "hostile" and don't want to attack.
You must have a complete army (40 luxuary houses) to or at least a strong army to deter the ennemies to attack you.
I saw a problem when i play with atlantean. If my palace is destroyed or if i don't have an army, the ennemies invade again and again. There is not that problem when i play with the greek city...
Don't hesitate to make a gift to your ennemies, then they will not be "hostile". For example, if a city buy armor, offer armors to this city, and she will love you.
Indeed you have to take your time to develop a huge city like this, i tried to make a progression during the different episodes to help the player in that way but I may not have been progressive enough.
I'm used to managing big cities and big invasions like this, but to get there I take my time and try to always anticipate the future needs of my people and therefore make a consequent industry. And of course, trade is very important to complete what is missing. The gods are also a great help.
I will share my city in "poseidon completes cities" and give advices and solutions to win this scenraio, but i have a regret, maybe I should have put Hermes as a sanctuary choice for queries and trade, but i would like to change more compared to the other scenario i did (twin gods).

I managed to complete this on Hero difficulty, and its very challenging especially the final goal of 40k population.
It actually took me a second run to reach the 40k population, and got me a lesson on city efficiency.
During my first run nearing 38k I got the dreaded DATA LIMIT REACHED bug, which crippled the whole city (walkers just randomly disappeared, tributes doesn't arrive, buildings on fire etc.) I figured it was due to the overabundant artisan guilds built to fill the employment. I had to reload an earlier save, removed part of them and resculpted my city a bit. Finally city managed to crawl over a shaky 40k, albeit with really huge unemployment. But I guess with Aphrodite, the citizens are still happy.
Another challenge was those angry Gods combos. Protip - place sanctuaries near entrance. Hephaestus and Dionysus are weaker and they can be dealt by any gods worshipped. While it's frustating that Aphrodite only deal with them one at a time, in some odd chances Atlas could turn them into stone after a number of hits, which was quite a sight.
The problem was definitely Apollo and Artemis, and specifically her archers. Due to limited space (and I usually don't resculpt areas or demolish sanctuaries), I didn't build Hades, leaving Demeter as the only God to be able to deal with A&A. Demeter thwarts them even on a 1v2, but not without collateral damage to the city. So in a sense, maybe it's better to leave room for Hades too.
On Hero difficulty, money was never an issue so any military invasions can be bribed off easily. For city requests, some of them were very large I'd just flatly reject them for my city sake and butter them up in other ways. Resources (tributes) like Fleece and Oil are extremely important towards the end, so stock them early or request for them as much as possible.
Overall a great and enjoyable episode! |

i am on last episode and its hard to get 40k population.
at some point, there is a bag that you don't receive from you vassal the early product, so i don't receive fleece and oil and my houses are down.
is it a bag?[Edited on 08/15/19 @ 08:07 PM]

Thanks for your comment Dulano, and i'm happy you liked it :) !
I had the same data limit in other scenarios and I tried to skirt it with more trade, espacially with fleece, to limit walkers and sheeps. |

Gytrix, you can't to trade with your vassals, or you don't receive your tributes ?
