Author File Description
File Details
After being banished from Athens. It is your task to regain the graces of the Gods by developing Sparta into a mega power. This adventure has a bit of challenge and should be enjoyable to all skill levels of players. Play time is about 8 hours to complete.

Laurels This mission did not come with the necessary files to alter it yourself in the editor, which normally would be fine but there are some serious problems with it.
I dont mean to sound negative, but was this beta-tested at all? The first episode (parent colony) has palace not allowed, but has an attack from Athens, with no bribe option allowed. You should give the players some idea that it is either alright to become a vassal, or just some clue that they need to rush.
The second parent episode, after the first colony has a monster attack which requires Theseus' Hero Hall. But defensive structures are completely unavailable. You cannot have a Theseus Hall without walls and gatehouses. Please let us know if this is reworked, as I would like to play it in full.
Just a note to all adventure creators, please give players options. It is what creates playability, and without options, there is no play.

I need to clear some things here. Firstly the starting episode does have an attack by Athens. This however can be bribed provided you have not spent all of your money. You can survive as a vassal with no problems further than the one time attack.

In the next parent episode Minatour attacks the city. He is not aggressive and can be worked around until you have the available structures. (they come in the next parent episode.) This stradegy was used by the creators of Zeus themselves with the attack of Hydra in one of their original adventures. Hydra hung over the Marble but you could not build a hall until later.

This adventure has been tested and re tested by both myself and others with great reviews. Patients will get you through.
Granny I have played this adventure. Its "Outstanding". The only reason i can think of if a player don't have the "Bribe" option, is because they don't have money to cover it. This is also in the Zeus adventures as well. They also have it were you cannot call a hero that you need until a next episode. (BTW-me like this idea). But here's Granny's lil secret to calling Theseus when you don't have walls as an option.(Hehe) Just place colums all the way around The palace, remove the road, click to call hero, then replace the road. This works.
Angel Draco As of 3/17/01, an updated version of this Adventure is available for download. Changes made as stated by the author:

"A small oversight on my part has resulted in a couple of emails to me complaining about having access to a heroes hall to destroy Minatour without having access to walls or the gate house. I have removed the heroes hall option now so that people will understand that you have to work around the Minatour in the first level. The required hall as well as all structures become available in the next episode. I have also modified the text slightly to try to enlighten the player of possible threats without giving away the entire adventure."
Trieu Mai This is the greatest adventure I have ever played! Phew! I am playing at the olympian level, so ... it's very tough. I suggest everyone to play this one. One more thing that I really like is at the beginning, you will have to deal with the money and unrest problems! I had to replay few times (around dozens of times!!??) to find out the best way to build to save money. I am still playing it. Thanks a lot for creating this adventure!

Additional Comments:
Hi, your adventure was great! I enyojed it a lot. I have played everything on olympian. The start was a bit rough, there was no info in the mission description, that my next mission would be a colony. So I was starting the colony with -2000 drachmen, but it was okay, I were asking the other countries for money and got it from them.

I would describe your adventure, as an adventure that is on the same level, as the original Poseidon adventures. If I have to say something for improvement it would be the following:
- You could always ask your allied friends for money, they hate you for a short amount of time, and you could ask them again. It would be better if they were more demanding from you. Because they are economically strong, they always give you a lot of money, or goods, if you ask them.
- I think I were having 2 bugs:
I got invaded by (I think Athen?). They got a maximum level of army, but I was able to bribe them for 1050 drachmas, this happened twice.
- The Medusa was defeated, but I haven't summored the hero, to defeat her. I dont know, why she died, but she did.
