Dawn of History is moderate difficulty level, with eight parent episodes and two colonies. Resource management is important in early parent episodes, combat in later episodes. Space management and combat are important in the colonies.
I would rate the Adventure difficulty at Hero/Titan(normal>hard). Intermediate players will find a good challenge. Advanced players may find the pace a bit slow at times. Novice players might want to give it a try; researching or figure out the solutions to the more difficult challenges as they entouter them.
The scripted gifts received seemed a bit excessive. I felt that the resources could of been provided by other means. At times I was twiddling my thumbs, waiting for the scripting to allow me to accomplish my next task.
The progression to more difficult tasks as I finished each episode was a welcome variation. Gifting/Requesting -to- Raiding -to- more interesting problem solving.
Map Design: 4
Well designed with enough options for each playing style.
The breifings storyline started out well crafted but after a few episodes they became terse. Some scripting detracted from the provided storyline.
Instructional readme was nearly nonexistant. Simply resubmiting the Folder, properly named, would have solved the issue. Perhaps a short 'Spoiler Readme' with some of the solutions might of forstalled some of the commentary here.
