import it
Dancing Hoskuld Import it from where? Only my enemies have the bronze or wood needed.

Or is this one of those games where I have to let the monster kill my people for awhile?
Luffchylde dancing... In cases where your enemy has what you need, you can either be; diplomatic, by sending what they need, hoping they'll be willing to send what you need back... or you can be sneaky, and raid their cities for the goods you need. Guess you'll have to build your army!

shannand28 This one isn't enjoyable to play. I've tried twice now and I can't even get past the monsters attacking and the gods attacking long enough to get anything done. There are fisheries and urchin quays and a large lake with lots of both, but only one spot where you can build either. Maybe I'll try it again one day but after a long day at work I like a challenging, but possible to overcome those challenges game.
ttantt This is a bit difficult in that in order to finish with anything you need sanctuaries. You can't do that without bronze and wood, which is only produced by your rivals. That is fine if you could raid, but you need elite housing which in turn needs olive oil, which is again, impossible. You could use frigates, but that needs armor which needs bronze, impossible. The rivals also do not buy or need anything, so you cant really get them in a docile mood to ask for anything. You might also want to add a few more spots to gather fish or urchins. I am sorry this is so long. But I like a good challenge, if it is possible to win.

Playability: 1

This is quite frankly one of the most ugly, tedious and boring scenarios around. At olypian level, you'll likely spend 15-20 years on the first episode, bribing your rivals to give you the wood and bronze necessary to build Artemis' temple, so you can summon Atalanta and do the quest to finish the episode. Then you get to spend a bunch more time bribing your allies so they will help you take the bronze city with your amazons. And so on...

I only finished this one because I have a lot of patience.

In fact, the only non-boring thing that happened during the whole scenario was that Hera turned a mugger into a cow, which then mugged the sphinx, which instantly died. The muggercow then sat on the road mugging half the people who went by until I noticed it and sent a watchman after it. I'm pretty sure this wasn't part of the designer's plans however.

Small map. Building space is tight. Not inherently a bad thing, but the map looks like it probably took under a minute to draw.

Not built very carefully. There is bronze on the map that you can never mine and you are allowed to build trieme wharfs even though the coast won't support them. If I thought there was much likelihood of these being intentional, rather than just sloppy, I might be more impressed.

Story/Instructions: 2

Although the description alleges to follow Theseus and Atalanta deeds, I really didn't notice any story and couldn't see any connection with any classic greek legends. Certainly didn't learn anything new.

In Summary:
I suggest that you pass this one up. You won't miss anything much.
