Difficulty: Hero
Number of episodes: 5
Minimap:
Adventure parameters: 4 home episodes, one colony

Size: 1024 X 768. 800 x 600 should work all right- I used this resolution when I first started creating this adventure- but the game looks better under the higher resolution.

Loved it. Not too much hassle to bother with. Even monsters are friendly.

Balance: 5
It's great, though I would recommend Olympian here as hero was too easy.

Creativity: 5
Creative enough for me.

Map Design: 4
Didn't like the logistics for the fishery at start which made me worry for the food supply. But was solved at the end in a surprise. Besides, why the $ and euro signs?

Story/Instructions: 5
Well managed and thought of.

Additional Comments: Lots of Space to work around with.

Hi, Kadabra-

Um, wow- thanks for the kind words, and the rating! (My first rating ever, as it happens.)

Re: your comment about the balance issue (suggesting Olympian rather than hero): When an author posts a certain difficulty for his adventure, he's indicating what he believes the degree of difficulty is for his adventure- not necessarily the in-game difficulty recommended for playing the adventure. In this case, I thought "Blood Money" was an adventure of average difficulty- which translates to a "hero" difficulty here on Zeus Heaven.

Re: the map design: in my mind, the logistics for the fisheries- and the general lack of pier space on the eastern half of the parent map- are the main reasons why I considered this to be an adventure of average difficulty. Even with godly help, the sheer distance between your piers and copper industry can make gaining income via trade fairly challenging. (I didn't do that intentionally, either- though once I realized where my map was leading, I rolled with it. )

The copper deposits are actually in the form of a cents sign (¢); Americans still use that symbol occasionally for amounts involving pennies, most of which are made of copper.

As for why the cents and dollar sign: well, why not? Most of my adventures have featured at least some degree of whimsy or humor- though the bulk of this tends to appear in my adventure text. (In my opinion, "Vaguely Familiar", the last adventure I crafted, has humor and whimsy to spare, in both its maps AND text.) As the background for this adventure was fairly somber, I didn't think a lot of humor was particularly appropriate- though I couldn't resist adding the symbols onto my parent map.

Lee (GLWizard)

Hi, Patpay-

Glad you liked it- especially the dollar and cent islands. The adventure as a whole turned out to be pretty somber, given the players involved- so I couldn't resist the bit of "creative geography".

Valkm Good. I liked the map. Wish to see the next campaign.
