This is our first adventure we created in the editor. The story is based in the broadest sense on the legend of King Midas, who with his touch was said to have been able to transform everything earthly into gold.
We wish you a lot of fun in this adventure and hope you enjoy the challenge of playing it. We are looking forward to your comments and ratings.
There is also a German version of the adventure, which was even created by us with soundtrack. You can find them here:

You also can contact us under Lorenzojuliano@gmx.de
Then we will immediately receive a notification and you will receive a quick answer.

Thank you for your comments! We are glad that you like our adventure. @Cruyff89: Thanks for telling us about the last episode. The next time we play our own adventure, we'll check it again.
By the way, we are already planning the next adventure in the editor, which will be even more difficult. ;-) |

Very good map design, btw. The cliffs I believe could be a little bit improved, but the coast is drawn superbly and the scrub and forest distribution is top notch.
Beach and meadow designs, as well as marble placements are excellently drawn too.[Edited on 03/15/18 @ 09:10 AM]

Thank you very much for your adventure, it was quite a rewarding experience. I played it on Hero difficulty.
Here is a list with some technical issues you might want to tidy up:
1) My first colony was Lemnos. The hero to kill the monster is Hercules. He requires a Hippodrome but you cannot construct neither a Hippodrome nor а Horse Ranch in this episode.
Perhaps you meant the monster to be actually killed by Talos or Ares' Dragon. I tried summoning Talos 3 times but it didn't encounter the monster (which moves a lot).
I eventually killed it with Watchmen (perhaps a thousand or more encounters) and it was fun.
2) One of the cities gives you Onions as a tribute and this creates a 5th type of food (Wheat, Urchin, Oranges, Meat are the other 4). You are only supposed to have access to 4 types of food. The slight annoyance this 5th type of food creates is that in the latest parent episodes you don't have your Wine stats from the menu and you have to actually check your Warehouses manually on the map. I also had a case where all production from my Wheat farms just disappears after being harvested. I cannot confirm that this is 5th type of food-related issue.
3) In last two parent episodes you are allowed to build 3 of the pyramids that you already built previously once more. I built another Temple of Olympus instead of Altar (a new type) and this way I actually had 4 Pyramids in the city but only 3 of them counted because the game apparently recognizes only 1 per type.
4) In the penultimate parent episode the army I sent to defend my colony Thera never returned up until its end. I had send almost all of my forces and kept only my Frigates. So I couldn't conquer Miletus (episode goal) since it's only available by land. Perhaps I could rebuild Ares'sanctuary and/or delete and rebuild some Elite Housing. I opted to replay instead. I am not sure if that's a bug or your intention but I need to mention it.
Again, most of these were minor and didn't scratch the excellent overall impression of your adventure.
Thank you![Edited on 03/25/18 @ 09:50 PM]

Hey there, i got a game crashing bug while on the second colony episode, i chose Lemnos and wherever i place a building the message "Area cut off from the world" pops up and destroys it, no matter the place on the map. I read a thread from another adventure with a similar bug and built bridges all over the place but didn't solve it either.
It's an awesome adventure and i'd really like to finish it!!
Thnx! |

First off, I made this account just to review this campaign, which I loved. It's been my favorite of the half-dozen I've played this month (Got nostalgic for these games and found this site looking for custom campaigns).
Playability: 4 on Hero difficulty, with an exception.
The city doesn't give you everything you need to succeed, and that's fine. The colonies were challenging (4000 people? Support 32 hoplites on a tiny map?), without being impossible, and with careful planning, the main objectives were doable as well.
My main problem is that it bugged out horribly as soon as I started the mission where you have to build Hera's temple, get the 48-stade hippodrome, and the 4 monuments. Graphics did the repeat glitch, and the map treated 2/3rds of the city as being stone, which makes it impossible to finish the last two missions, which is too bad, as I was attached to my city and wanted to complete the storyline.
Balance: 5
I love how you have to think creatively. Sometimes, it's a good idea to save up resources, sometimes you just have to allow the monster to beat you up while you finish the mission, sometimes you have to prioritize which god would be best to have. Really fun to get right.
Creativity: 5
It's got some challenges, but they're not impossible to overcome. There's definitely times where you have to sacrifice things to win the game, which I love.
Map Design: 5
I liked that it had plenty of space, but not so much open land that you could be wasteful with it. I think I was approaching a 9000 person city while only using 2/3rds of the map.
Story/Instructions: 5
The dialogue was great. Quality, interesting, helpful without flat-out saying "don't build in this part of the map, rush so-and-so's sanctuary, etc."

Thank you for your feedback!
@Zephiroth23: We had the bug, you are reporting, once in one of Zeus and Poseidon's standard adventures. We were also alerted that the area was cut off from the world and the last building that was built always collapsed afterwards. In our case, this was because one of the entrances to the city at the edge of the map had been blocked by rubble (scree) (e.g. by an earthquake or enemy soldiers who had collapsed a building). The nasty thing was that we couldn't see this piece of rubble - at least until we turned the map. After that we were able to remove the rubble and solve the problem.
In our Midas adventure in the colony of Lemnos, the entrances and exits to the city are on small islands and are marked by a piece of path. These islands must be connected by bridges. If there is a destroyed bridge or a piece of rubble somewhere, free access is not guaranteed and the bug occurs.
@NotDonne: If we understand your repeat bug correctly, we had it once, too (not in our own adventure, but in one of the standard games). One time we had a city with more than 15 000 inhabitants, in which the residents and workers came out of the buildings only irregularly (also the architects, which was very unfavorable). With this bug also temples could be built several times, although it can build each temple only once at the same time. Is it this bug you mean?
We also once had the case that the cliffs and rocks were levelled to the ground after we returned from a colony to our hometown (also in a standard game). We don't know why, but we found out that you can avoid this bug if you direct the map view to a place on the map where there is no sea or rock/mountain to see the exact moment you reach your hometown targets before going to the colony. For example, if our last goal was to conquer a city, we would not move the mouse pointer from a view without rocks until we heard that the conquest was successful.
So obviously these are problems and bugs that are common to Zeus and Poseidon, not only in our adventure. We would be happy if you could give us another feedback if you could solve the problems after our tips above. |
