A short Zeus adventure.
From a small, tricky map, build a city that can withstand the wrath of the Gods and your rivals.
Notes: Be patient at first, and look at the landscape for clues to building placement.
You have two colony maps to choose from, though only one colony episode. One is relatively easy, the other rather more difficult, but both face major challenges thanks to Posidon. Once again, be patient! Think about acquiring goods before you start building... |

Love the look of this adventure! How are you supposed to get statues for the Demeter temple in episode one though? |

@Duosangel - aah, that's the trick. You have two rivals who both produce sculpture but are in desperate need of marble. (aka, a bit of bribery goes a long way. Eventually...) |

I'm playing the colony now. It's a real challenge, but also a good idea with a great map![Edited on 08/05/21 @ 02:47 PM]

Two comments apart from the review
1. There is a bug with the Halicarnassus trade. During the colony's mission, Halicarnassus constantly resumes and suspends trade. If you complete the mission while it is suspended, it never resumes it for the entire adventure.
2. I have not been able to pass the last level. In all conquests, even if you reduce the military power of the cities to 1 and then constantly attack them, the invasions fail. You can have an army of 3 ships and an ally of 2, with Ares on your side, 5 frigates and 44 horsemen and fail the mission in front of a city of military power 1. It doesn't make sense. Only when a message appears that the city reduces its military power can you conquer it, even if that message appears with a military power of 1. As with Nemea the message never appears, I have not been able to conquer it and after 2 hours I have given up. I don't know if it's something particular to this mission or general to the game, but I don't understand. |

*Spoiler alert*
Playability: 4
The playibility problem that I notice, and the only major one in the adventure, is that it abuses the concept of bribing opponents. I found it curious and fun to do it in the first level for sculptures, but you have to do it in the first, in the third (although in this you can loot, it is still tiring to do it instead trading) and in the colony. It's too much, in my opinion.
Balance: 4
The beginning and the end are difficult, they pose a challenge, but it is a challenge that can be overcome and they are well done
Creativity: 5
As I said in the history section, it is very original, both the history and the natural events. I loved that in the first levels, when you cannot trade with anyone and it is difficult to raise money, you had access to silver ore, but then they were blocked by a flood, as well as another flood that allows you to create more warships.
Map Design: 5
The map is amazing. I loved the concept of feeding with just that little lake at first. It also makes you think about where to place each area very well. The map, for me, unbeatable.
Story/Instructions: 5
The story is original and consistent with itself. I really enjoyed playing it.
In addition, the instructions are clear, you don't get lost at any time.
Additional Comments:
I recommend playing it, and I am looking forward to playing the other adventures of this creator. Thank you very much for bringing new adventures for nostalgic players, I was used to only playing adventures that I know from memory since I was little and discovering new adventures is always a joy. Greetings from Spain.

@alexMA
Thanks for playing, and thanks for the review!
There is a lot of bribery going on in this adventure - there are plenty of military or trade campaigns out there where you can get your hands on the goods easily, so I wanted to push a different way of playing. That being said, you can combine raiding and bribing rivals to get the required goods if need be.
re the bugs you found - which colony did you play? Halicarnassos should (and has when I've tested the campaign) shut down and reopened trade throughout, so it's possible it just hadn't got there yet. Similarly with Nemea, in the final episode, will drop it's military strength at 12 years in. It's the last of the 4 cities you need to conquer to do so, but is fairly easily taken in a couple of attacks with Ares' help and a modest force.

Thanks a lot! I will play the last level again to wait until 12 years pass. About Halicarnassus, I played the Tera colony and it suspended and reopened the trade all the time. What I mean is that if you complete the colony adventure while it's suspended, you start in the main city with the trade suspended and it never reopens. |
