The Melian Dialogue

'there is only one valid map size and that size is enormous'

hi I said earlier I wouldn't make more zeus adventures and guess what I made another one :)

This scenario allows you to re-enact the Peloponnesian War through the historically inaccurate, Atlantis-inbued angle of the small island of Melos, which played a minor yet captivating role in an episode generally known as the Melian Dialogue. Through war, trade, and exploration, you will lead this small island to a new era a greatness.

This scenario isn't particularly difficult. Most of the challenges will come from the topography of the maps which despite their size and the attention they received can be treacherously tricky to plan around.

While it has been tested, there can and probably will be bugs that have eluded my inquisitive eyes. Leave a comment if you find one and I will do my best to fix them.

I apologize in advance for Google translate.
Completed on Olympian difficulty
Playability: 4
Really difficult parent map, often it is not easy to complete the mission objectives (number of inhabitants). It is even more difficult what to do with the unemployed (15-20%) in 1, 2, 6 parenting episodes. (The requirements for the population are unreasonably high). It is difficult to place on the map what you want and need, so it was often necessary to remove current buildings or start the episode over again. It's really interesting and challenging for the player.
The colony episodes are interesting with the exception of Olympia. The goals are too easy to achieve, there is no point in building luxury housing, just a waste of time at maximum speed waiting for the marble to be brought along winding streets and bridges.
Balance: 5
I really like campaigns based on the scarcity of most resources, so without further ado and applause - 5.
Creativity: 5
I don’t quite understand what exactly to evaluate at this point, but your work definitely deserves a rating of 5.
Map Design: 5
An excellent parent map (it is perfectly clear that you spent a lot of time and effort on creating it) and colony maps. Except for Olympia. In short: an unreasonably large and empty map, the preparation of sites for temples are striking, unnecessary difficulties in logistics.
Story/Instructions: 5
The story is really nice to read and the whole plot is fully reflected in the game events. Unless it would be worth adding an explanation, because of which monsters are suddenly attacking my city.
Additional Comments:
I liked this adventure, although sometimes it was difficult and I paused for several days, but I managed to finish it. And here's what I didn't like I wrote above. I will only add that there are too many monster attacks, and their appearance is not based on the plot (correct if wrong) and it is almost impossible to prepare for their appearance in advance if you do not know about their appearance. Therefore, almost all the monsters had to be killed without heroes, and when all the conditions for the calls were met, by that time the corpse of the monster had been lying in the ground for a couple of years.
In summary: a beautiful and challenging adventure, but not without its downsides. I can upload save if anyone is interested.
PS: Question to the author, but did not test how many in theory can fit on the parent map of residents? and it would be interesting to look at the author's passage and the construction of the city =)

(Maybe I'm just bad at planning but I had trouble getting to the required population due to the map design. It was definitely a challenge. So if you want that challenge, it could be a 5 for you. It was quite annoying for me)

Balance: 4
(Likewise with playability, I had to destroy huge parts of my city to fit other temples later on)

Creativity: 5
(Definitely a creative/challenging map and scenario)

Map Design: 5
(Interesting design but took too long to figure everything out)

Story/Instructions: 5
(Very interesting story)
