Hello, fellow Zeus-worshippers-still-in-2023, new guy here
Some time ago I got back into playing Zeus and after finishing all the adventures, I noticed the Adventure Editor and started playing around with it.
In that process I found this site and a plethora of helpful tips here which lead to me finishing my first adventure - about a wine-fueled ambition to establish a utopian city dedicated to Dionysus, filled with earthly pleasantries and devoid of obligations like taxes or military service.
I tested and successfully finished it on Hero difficulty and everything worked well. It's a bit tricky at times but hopefully in a fun challenging way.
I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think. Good and bad but please be constructive, thank you =) |

Hi, nice adventure. Started today in Hero, but there's one thing I do not understand. Are we suppose to make wine or just grapes? Olive Press is there since ep 1 but no winery! |

Hello
Yes, in the beginning of the adventure you're not yet allowed to make wine because you start as a vassal to Olympia.
That should all be explained in the adventure texts (I hope). |

Thank you very much =)
I hope you're enjoying it so far.
Sadly the map has a few graphic glitches around the edges because I only learned about the height restrictions when I was already mostly done designing it. But hopefully it doesn't dectract too much.
It's better in the colony maps because I designed them after learning about the issue. |

In the second episode, I do not have a palace, and without it it is impossible to create an army to capture an opponent. Therefore, I cannot complete all the tasks and finish the episode. |

Nothing is impossible as long as you have the power of friendship ;)
Spoilers:
You won't get a palace (and therefore no military) for the entire adventure. You're a hedonist, not a ruler. And you're building a place of peace and freedom.
You will have to rely on heroes and allies to do your dirty military work. |

The allies don't want to help with the attack even though I'm giving them the supplies they need. You can get armor and olive oil from rivals, but these goods are useless for building your own army if there is no palace. |

Author, write in a personal, what I'm doing wrong. I want to complete this quest.
Update: I figured it out myself.[Edited on 04/12/23 @ 01:23 PM]

Additional Comments:
The adventure was pretty good!
To rely on diplomacy, with no tax no military, the theme was fun.
Great maps. Especially the Parent map, had to use creative layouts instead of usual big blocks. Meadows are sparse and spread, making food production quite challenging and no overproduce for easy money.
Gameplay was well designed, no absurd goals and reasonable timing of events. On Olympian the challenges were manageable. I like that money was especially tough to come by at the start.
Story where Dionysus is the patron was fun smooth read too.
-- Spoiler ahead --
A small issue where I'd gone Olympian all the way but the last episode. For the Sparta goal, I'm not sure it was doable on Olympian. Even after the military decline event, with just 2 heroes (at the same time at best), and attacked Sparta with different Allies consecutively, the shields of Sparta just won't go down for me (didn't even whittle one shield, it kept on 5). Maybe a bug, or someone had better tactics, or patience or luck, which I had none of them lol, so I turned to Hero difficulty... Sparta got conquered in few turns. Well that would work I guess :D
Anyways, no doubt this was a fun adventure! Thanks and well done!
