And here comes my third adventure.
The story revolves around the mythical Pyronians, descendants of the Centaurs and Lapiths, who have been alienated by the Greek and now are on a quest for vengeance. Rebuild Pyron and lead their tribe to glory.
The adventure features four parent city episodes and one colony episode (you can choose between two colonies). I'd estimate the time to create the adventure at about 1,5x to 2x the time it took to create Peon of Hermes (which is mostly due to map creation of three maps in total, and the parent city map being even more complex than Peon of Hermes parent city map). I also came up more or less coincidentally with a totally new map concept, which I used for one of the colonies. I am very content with how the maps turned out; the level design is certainly the most advanced and detailed so far regarding my previous adventures, though one might consider the cliff-piling to be close to insanity...
Unlike Peon of Hermes, this adventure focuses primarily on military. As usual, the maps are highly challenging, in the same way as my previous episodes. If you have played my previous adventures, you should already be used to this playing style. But there should be no frustrating elements if you're an experienced Zeus-player. Planning your city is key!
I haven't encountered any bugs, though I'd gladly fix them should you find any.
I hope everybody enjoys this adventure as much as I enjoyed building it (well, designing the map and playing ;) ). |

Any sort of review? I'm really curious about whether this type of map creation is what people like or if it's a little bit too odd...^^ |

I cannot attack Athens in the 4-5th parent map campaign.
Damn! all attacks just fail. I made it to 10,000 population. Ithaka has vanished. |

Indeed, when going through my event scripts, I did f*** something up there. Athens military strength is set to 6, probably after my last playthrough, so the corresponding event got forgotten. This means it is unconquerable and seemingly you're the first one to complain about this... I'll fix it as soon as possible.[Edited on 12/13/14 @ 05:39 PM]

After many years of playing custom adventures, I have made an account specifically to give my favorite four campaigns (out of tens played) a rating of 5.
The map is a work of art. Much of the difficulty of this adventure comes from a map that denies all standard housing blocks and prevents significant logistical challenges. Each time the player wishes to grow their population, he or she is faced with the puzzle of designing their next neighborhood. The resulting city is complex, beautiful, and immensely satisfying. After months away from Zeus, when I wish to look back on a completed city for a few minutes, I always return to this campaign.[Edited on 08/03/21 @ 03:44 PM]

This adventure really cause me headache. Everywhere tight space. I've learnt a lot from this to be more creative with housing plot.
