dear walagos,
please help me with the beginning of this adventure. i'm far from being new to the game, although not very experienced either, but i seem to fail fulfilling the first achievement. |

Spoilers ahead.
Hello @Greg77,
Here's a breakdown the objectives of the first episode:
- Sanctuary to Athena
- Produce 80 sheaves of wheat in a year
Let's start with the wheat. A full-staffed wheat farm can produce 8 sheaves of wheat per year, so if we do the maths, we need at least 10 wheat farms to achieve the objective. And if we observe carefully, there is only 3 clusters of meadow on the whole wide map, with each cluster consists of just 4 tiles of meadow (12 tiles of meadow in total). This is just enough meadow for us here. Our strategy is to place 1 farm on 1 tile of meadow so we'll get a total of 11 farms, and leave the remaining 1 tile of meadow for the goats. All the goats will not mind sharing a small single tile of meadow :P
For Athena, it is slightly tedious. Without an army to raid yet, we'll have to request/beg for the materials from the rivals. The way to go is to produce as many cheese as possible. Sell them for income and more importantly, send cheese/wheat as large gifts to butter up the rivals, at least once per year. Try to fulfill every rival demands to maintain their favor. Build more facilities and try your luck to win the Hellenic games too. This is going to take a while, but once the rivals favor advice turns into "Docile", request the goods from them (NOTE: avoid the word 'demand', wait for it to turn into 'request'). Repeat this for few more times as necessary.
Hope this helps :)[Edited on 10/21/20 @ 12:20 AM]

Additional Comments: (With spoilers)
Pros:
- Spacious map. good for large blocks. There are some large objectives so the players will still need to manage the space.
- Clever objectives and events. It's an added advantage for players to have some know-how of the game, such as production yields, walkers, god/hero requirements, foreign relations etc.
- Limited meadow will get the players to think on how to best fit the farms and goats. And later, Demeter's meadow for more wheat, grapes and olives.
- Huge amount of dairies and mass cheese. What a glorious sight :P
- Request/beg for materials from rivals through gifts and manage favors, while being constantly hounded by demands and invasion threats... the players will be thoroughly occupied, until military is up.
- Players need to be prepared for the heroes/monsters and their requirements. Be quick or risk destruction.
- Military is absolute key in the adventure.
- Some really huge objectives, especially the last episode. Players be warned.
Cons:
- Adventure text is in Italian. For English I had to use Google Translate to convert the text file.
- At the file details, the number of episodes for this adventure is NOT 2. This adventure consists of 5 parent episodes. Hero difficulty or above.
- Story is short and simple.
- Map is bland. Thick scrubs, no elevations, lazy rocks on the edges, awkward coastlines and forests that served no purposes. Seemingly lack of effort but I've seen worse maps.
- Unsurprisingly the gameplay that revolves around foreign relations is tedious, and it demands patience from players.
- Zeus is OP, and the players could possibly get him as soon as episode 2 or episode 3. So God invasions are nothing onwards.
- Demands from rivals doesn't change (5 food). Sure the demands could be an issue at the start, but gradually less imposing as the city grows, and almost became non-relevant towards the end.
- Having to build a huge-ass army (+ Ares), they serve no purpose other than raids. All other rivals are 6 shields and thus cannot be conquered (no military decline). Only Atene will fall (wait for the event). (Tip: Players can conquer their only ally)
Despite an uninspiring map design and story, the adventure itself was frankly quite decent and fairly challenging as well. Overall an enjoyable adventure, recommended for those looking for an uncommon challenge.
Thanks!
